Work out what to charge for your membership
Most creators price their membership by copying someone else. That works until you do the math and realise the number cannot reach your goal. This calculator starts from the goal instead. Tell it the monthly revenue you want, how many members you can realistically serve and the churn you expect, and it shows you the price that makes the numbers close.

Annual vs monthly
Using your needed price of $50.00 and an illustrative 17% annual discount.
Math example, not a customer outcome.
This tool leaves platform and payment fees out on purpose. To see what you keep after fees, use the cost calculator linked below.
You also get the member count needed at three common price points ($29, $49 and $99), so you can see whether you have a pricing problem or an audience problem. The churn section turns a percentage into plain terms: how many members you lose each month, how many you must add to stay flat and the expected lifetime value of one member.
Finally, it lays out an annual plan against monthly billing using a 17% discount, the same illustrative rate HiveLearn uses. All figures are math examples, not customer outcomes. Use them to set a starting price, then adjust once real members tell you what they will pay.

Questions people ask
How much should I charge for a paid community?
Start from your revenue goal divided by the members you can serve well, then sanity-check it against what your audience already pays for similar outcomes. Many niche communities sit between $29 and $99 a month; premium mentorship spaces go higher with fewer members.
What is a normal churn rate for a membership?
Monthly churn of 3% to 8% is common for content communities; coaching and cohort spaces often see less. At 5% churn a member stays about 20 months on average, which is why retention matters as much as price.
Should I offer an annual plan?
Usually yes. An annual option with a modest discount improves cash flow and locks in members who would otherwise churn in month three. The calculator uses 17% as an illustrative discount; you can run the math for your own.
Does this include platform or payment fees?
No. This tool is about what to charge. To see what you keep after platform and Stripe fees, use the HiveLearn cost calculator or the Skool fee calculator linked below.
